This year I started teaching at Creek Street Christian College, Bendigo. It wasn’t difficult finding my way around; I used to attend the school when I was a student. A few of my past teachers are now my present-day colleagues!.

    Delayed shipping times have been in the news a lot lately. Parcels are stacked up in warehouses, containers loaded with goods sitting in docks, ships waiting in queues. A thousand chokepoints have choked up, each one choking up a thousand more down the line.

    For many it is a four-letter word. As an educator and a school manager, my view is no different. I was never the student who would get home and studiously work through my spelling list and my math questions. I never started an assignment early or kept a reading diary.
