How about this. Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12 English translations speaks of the Bible as being alive / living. This web site provides a list of comparable translations of verse 12. Becoming wholesome
Reflecting on a few gospel songs, I've realized that we make many promises to God, "Whatever you ask me to do, I'll do it" and "I surrender all". Some of our prayers may include asking God to work through us or for us to be like others in the bible. We want God to use us, but we are often not open to it.

Why worry?
Sometime last week I took my youngest to the doctor and it was a stressful visit. It was that time again … his 18-month vaccination and checkup were due. First thing’s first … he’s not fond of going to the doctor, nor is he fond of injections – but what child is.
