Support for persecuted Christians
It can be quite depressing to hear all that is happening around the world against Christians, even though we know that God is good and is all-powerful. I think it’s important to know that there are groups whose whole raison d’etre is to do all they can to support these people and to bring to the world’s attention what is happening to them. It is good to fight
War, in its essence, has never been good. No doubt, it is an absolute necessity in many cases- to procure the liberty of nations, contain evil, preserve lives, and protect the weak. However, war has always involved damages, casualties, and suffering.

Thinking Churchill
Yes, I continue to write about Churchill. Winston Churchill was a larger than life public figure when I was growing up during the 1950s. Although he was the wartime Prime Minister of Great Britain, his legends and his pronouncements were well-publicised in the Anglophile Australia of that time.

Are all relationships reconcilable?
It’s disheartening to see how domestic violence has caused so much pain in the lives of many Jamaicans. A local newspaper in 2018 told the sad tale of a woman who “was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband” (The Gleaner,2018). Once again, another victim of domestic violence.

Steam engine – my first firing experience
As a lad on one occasion, I recall welcoming friends off the Sunlander passenger train at Mackay Railway Station and watching this beautiful gleaming blue and white diesel engine pull to a stop and my heart was sold.

Missionary financial survival
Over the years I have written numerous articles on how missions and missionaries function with financing their people. We give money to missions or specific missionaries – how do they then get those giftings.

#hustle
I don’t know about you, but the world just seems busy. I find when I ask people the question, “how are you doing?”, 90% of the time the answer is: “busy”.

There’s no growth without commitment
A while ago I came across the quote “there’s no growth without commitment.” I’m not sure who the original author is, but the quote really stuck with me, so much so, I wrote it on a post-it note and stuck in my Bible.
