American political thriller TV series 'Homeland' had added a new face to its sixth season, and it's none other than Robert Knepper of 'Prison Break' fame who will be seen as General Jamie McClendon, the Department of Defense representative.
According to reports, the notable actor will brief Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel), the president-elect, and her transition team.
The actor plays Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell, one of the most villainous members of the 'Fox River Eight' in Prison Break. He has a huge task ahead as the DOD representative as the newly elected female POTUS and junior senator is "a little Hillary, a little Donald and a little Bernie Sanders."
The 57 year old actor will also be seen David Lynch's Twin Peaks revival.
Season 6 of the series which will premiere January, 2017 is trying out new things. The upcoming season will be the first time set in New York.
"Homeland will be shot next year in New York City, in and around New York," Showtime head David Nevins told reporters at the Television Critics Association's press tour in Pasadena.
"It will be set domestically. It will be set primarily in the New York area, but not exclusively," he added saying he hopes that the US location will make the actors happy.
Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, will return to the US and will work in a foundation which furnishes aid to Muslims living in America.
Apart from Knepper, Patrick Sabongui of The Flash and of Limitless will join the new season of Homeland. Also confirmed to be making a return is fan favorite Quinn, whose fate was left up in the air in the season 5 finale, after the agent suffered a stroke.
