'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' season 4 has roped in Parminder Nagra to play an "anti-Inhuman politician" concerned with what she sees as the latest potential existential threat to humanity.
Recently she was seen as Meera Malik in the NBC crime drama The Blacklist.
Nagra is also known for playing Jess in the 2002 film 'Bend It Like Beckham' and Dr. Neela Rasgotra in the NBC medical drama 'ER'.
Marvel has confirmed the actress's pivotal multi-episode role which will open the door to some potential story lines.
Marvel's Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D will be witnessing another politician in the upcoming season which is due for this September. IGN also confirmed the news stating that, "Parminder Nagra has joined the cast as a "powerful political figure who is outspoken in her distrust of Inhumans and the threat they pose to society."
Nagra is going to join a list of new additions in Season Four, which includes Jason O'Mara as the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D., Robbie Reyes, AKA Ghost Rider, played by Gabriel Luna, which has been deemed a rather surprising addition.
Nagra's addition has excited "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stalwart Ming-Na Wen, who plays Agent Melinda May.
"Finally! I can post this good news! Can't wait 2 work w/ my #ER alum, the awesome @parmindernagra! See you soon!," she wrote on Twitter.
40 year old Nagra also showed her excitement to meet her ex colleague.
It is not yet known whether their characters will have much interaction in the series.
Season 4 of the series will premiere on September 20 on ABC.
