Upcoming American drama television series 'This is Us', has added Salem protagonist Janet Montgomery as Erin Maine, Justin Hartley's sweetheart.
According to EW, the series by Dan Fogelman will feature the story of people connected by their birthday, and Erin as a character will be a talented and mean theater actress "whose fierce commitment to 'honesty' sucks poor Kevin into her darkness."
The series has been dubbed as the "Dramedy version of Lost".
The relationship between the two characters is said to be an intense one, which will definitely spice-up the sitcom. She will make her appearance to enchant Kevin from the fourth episode of the series.
"I think NBC has done a good job of [promoting the show] in a way that is intriguing to people without ruining [the twist]," said the show creator and executive producer Dan Fogelman, without teasing anything from the series.
"It feels almost like people are collectively holding hands and talking about the show in a way that doesn't give anything away for the audience," he added.
Montgomery's role as Mary Sibley, a powerful witch in Salem has been appreciated and is expected to put the right amount of drama in Erin too. Black Mirror, Downton Abbey, Entourage, Made in Jersey, and Human Target are her other television works.
