Andrew Hill from Auckland, is one of the Press Service International Kiwi young writers for Christian Today New Zealand.
The judges citation -
“Andrew has written a powerful letter/poem/psalm/plea to Australia in the wake of comments by the CEO of Virgin Australia that some people may die of COVID but we must open our borders.
“Partly stream of consciousness as he works through what makes Christians protest, weighing up what personal sacrifice is being asked in this new normal.
“He reminds the reader that the Church can be a half empty living room of disciples. That the sacrifice we are being asked to make ultimately is to stay home--a better protest so that others don’t die.”
