The Press Service International young writer annual awards have a routine system that works well.
This is the process - at the end of the 5th Cycle - Friday 8 July
The Steps
Step 1 - each young writer selects their BEST article of the first 5 cycles of 2022.
Step 2 - you send your BEST article to your specific CONNECT person
Step 3 - the Connect person collates and forwards to the 5 panellists
Step 4 - the panellists mark the articles out of 25 and forward to the statistician
Step 5 - the statistician sends the results to Well-Being Australia (WBA)
Step 6 - WBA sends to Sam Gillespie for the digital certificates
Step 7 - results announced - Awards Video – Russell Modlin and Rebecca Moore
The system works well.
Out of 25
The reason why the panellists mark out of 25 - in 2019 we have way too many joint winners – sometimes 3 people times over in each category.
The Salvation Army’s Captain Peter Brookshaw made a noise that we should have one winner, not many multiple winners. Hence the marking score was increased from 20 to 25.
