Rev Tim Wilson has agreed to be the inaugural editor of the Press Service International’s “senior writers”.
The international seniors writers were part of the broad senior writer group scheduled from Australia in conjunction with Christian Today.
With the International young writers becoming separate to Australia and New Zealand young writers on 1 July, the ‘senior writer’ group will join them but with a separate editor.
There is an interesting background to the international senior writers as they were all part of their Over 31s group but Christian Today editor sought younger faces on the senior writer ranks. The reason is that the Christian Today readership is 18-35.
Therefore a number of the international Over 31s were moved into the ‘younger’ senior writer group. It was nothing more than this.
Tim Wilson
Tim Wilson grew up in Mudgee New South Wales where he did his schooling and later university. He was an accomplished field hockey player with the university squad and ended up in YWAM Brisbane.
This is where he met Canadian YWAMer Genevieve and love blossomed. Tim led numerous YWAM ministry tours with Genevieve as his erstwhile administrator.
They married, two of the three children were born in Australia, they moved to Canada for five years (2012-2016) following our ministry with YWAM and then moved to LA so I could study at the Master’s Seminary (2017-2019). Following his graduation they moved back to Canada and have been involved in pastoral ministry since.
Meanwhile Tim became an integral member of the young writer team – writing both Comment and Sport (Genevieve writing Comment), then both became Senior Writers and ultimately Tim became a panellist for the sport writers annual awards.
