Famous evangelist Billy Graham is coming out with a new book titled Where I Am: Heaven, Eternity, and Our Life Beyond, which his son, Franklin Graham, revealed he had been working on since before his 95th birthday.
"It was great to be able to visit my father this weekend at his home," Franklin wrote in a Facebook message on Sunday.
The message continued: "He said, 'When I die, tell others that I've gone to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ — that's where I am.' Jesus Himself said, 'Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ... I go to prepare a place for you. ... I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also' (John 14:1–3)."
According to a preview on Amazon.com, the new book is being billed as "the Final Chapter" from Billy Graham, in which the evangelist will share his thoughts on the past, the present, and the reality of eternity.
"Although Billy Graham may no longer preach from the stadiums of the world, in this book you will sense his heart still beats strong with the resounding assurance that he will spend eternity with Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. In Where I Am, Mr. Graham invites and strongly encourages all of us to contemplate our eternal hope," the preview reads.
In the book, Graham will also comment on the Bible's message in all of its 66 books, focusing on messages of truth, warning, love, and the certainty of the future.
Despite his advanced age, the 96-year-old world renowned preacher has also continued reaching out to people and answering their question through his evangelistic association's "My Answer" initiative.
In a reply to a reader in the Kansas City Star earlier in August who asked what makes Jesus different from other holy men and women, Graham explained:
"The difference is that Jesus was not only a godly man, but the Bible says He was actually God in human flesh. This is a profound truth, and it sets Jesus apart from every other religious leader who has ever lived."
He added: "On one hand, the Bible makes it clear that Jesus was fully human. He was born a baby, grew up as a child and worked much of His adult life as a carpenter. But the Bible also tells us that Jesus was fully God."
According to Amazon, the Where I Am book comes out on Sept. 29.
