Charlotte (Charley) Goiris a 2015 Miss Universe and Miss World contestant has been interviewed by the Australian Missionary News IPTV and is now available on the Well-Being Australia's YouTube channel.
The Australian Missionary News IPTV was established in 2006 for the specific purpose of placing on video - interviews and conferences – with an emphasis on short videos.
These short video interviews have included sports personalities, business, church, missions, entertainment, conferences and a whole lot more. There have been a number of anchormen and women involved, the most recent being Australian Jeremy Dover and New Zealand's Jeremy Suisted.
A sample of those interviewed have included Margaret Court (Tennis), Greg Chappell (Cricket), Basil Sellers (Corporate), Andrew West (Media), Simon Manchester (Church), Rowland Croucher (Pastor's Pastor), Regina Refosco (Brazil), Peter Pinder (Bahamas) .......
The Australian Missionary News IPTV kicked off after Dr Mark Tronson's 14 years in Moruya (south coast of NSW) ministering at the Timeout in Moruya respite facility for Australian Institute of Sport elite athletes. He had retired after 17 years as the Australian cricket team chaplain and this new arena fitted very neatly into his ministry portfolios. The PlayLists are the easiest way to find specific videos.
Dr Tronson's four children were off their hands, his wife Delma and he went on the road (as it were) combining their Travelling and Country Town Tours ministry with pre-arranged interviews. Delma interviewed sporting luminaries such as Netball's Susan Fuhrmann, Softball's Kylie Cronk, Christian activist Jenny Baxter .....
Charley Goiris
The Australian Missionary News IPTV anchorman Jeremy Dover along with Belinda Croft on camera and producer - met with model, actress and pageanting Charley Goiris during the Press Service International young writers conference in Sydney on 1 August.
Charley Goiris explained how she grew up on the Christian Mill Valley Ranch in Victoria where her mum was responsible for the horses - coming home from school each day was loads of fun riding horses and playing games with the camp kids.
It was the Mill Valley Ranch 'Chapel' program's that touched her heart for the Lord Jesus and she grew in her faith from there and ultimately became one of the three youth pastors at Crossways Church in Melbourne.
Pageanting interested her - as she has grown into that scene - Charley Goiris explained she has found many of the people don't know Jesus and its become for her as much missional as contestant.
As such Charley Goiris explained that whether it's girls in ball gowns or youth on a Friday night, girls like to unpack their hearts. Certainly Charley's experience in youth ministry has been beneficial in one to one conversations.
Charley Goiris says that the big issues for youth today are a search for identity, the purpose of life, the hum drum of going to work, buying food, clothing and what it all means. For Charley it is Jesus.
