During Cycle 5 of the 2022 Press Service International (PSI) young writer program in conjunction with Christian Today, each young writer selects their ‘BEST’ article.
Their ‘BEST” article selection is sent in - in order for the 5 specific panellists to mark the articles for the 2022 Young Writer Annual Awards.
Obviously there are different sections
Australians 18-30
New Zealand 18-30
Internationals 18-30
Sport writers
Australian Over 31s
Internationals Over 31
Young Seniors - Aust, NZ, Internationals
Connect persons
For this to work smoothly, each group has a Connect person - who collates the articles and in a pack - sends them to their respective 5 panellists.
These are
Rebecca Moore - Aust 18-30
Mussita Ng - NZ 18-30
Aira Chilcott - Intn’ls 18-30
Jeremy Dover - sport writers
Vicki Nunn - Over 31s
Russell Modlin - Seniors
BEST article
The question is always - what is a young writer’s BEST article - it is what the young writer thinks if their best written, or best thinking, or best ideas - or even what they might perceive what the panellists might warm to.
These are questions that determine some considerable thought - each young writer will weigh up what they perceive to be the most poignant.
There is not enough space to list all the Basil Sellers Awards since 2013.
This site provides the lists and the videos
