'Chicago Med' season 2 has added 90210's Sasha a.k.a. Mekia Cox to play the daughter of Dr. Charles, the chief of the psychiatry department in the series.
This season, which returns on Thursday, September 22 at 9 pm on NBC, will be more exciting for fans with the latest addition of Cox as Robin Charles. According to EW, she will play an epidemiologist who is brought in to help with a difficult case. She is said to have a strained relationship with her dad (Oliver Platt), who is the inspiration behind her taking up this profession. She will hold a major role as Robin.
Executive Producer of the show Diane Frolov dropped a hint to EW about what is to come in the second season.
"We'll get a bigger insight into his past few years, with his own personal demons that he's hinted about," she said.
"We'll meet his youngest daughter, who is eight years old, and we'll meet his elder daughter, who's 25, from his first marriage."
Cox is going to turn up in the fourth episode and is rumored to be the love interest of Dr. Connor Rhoades (Colin Donnell) some time in the middle of the series.
According to Frolov, a lot about Dr. Charles' past and his true self is going to be revealed and explored once his daughter joins the same hospital as an epidemiologist.
Though there is no further information about her character, fans are already excited to witness the new angles in the show.
