Christian Bale's enthusiasm for his role in the film Exodus: Gods and Kings may have caused tensions between the actor and the movie's A-lister director, Ridley Scott.
Apparently, Bale did plenty of research on his character Moses and kept on badgering the director to add more content to the completed script.
Academy Award-winner Bale told World Entertainment News Network, "I kept on annoying Ridley with how fascinating the character was and how much we could add, saying, 'Can't we put this in?' But he would say, 'Well Christian, that's an eight-hour long film... Please shut up; I'm trying to get through a day's work!'"
This isn't the first time it has been reported that Bale can be difficult to work with on set. His recorded audio tirade against a crew member on the set of "Terminator Salvation" went viral, with the actor using the F-word 37 times in a span of four minutes.
Despite his working relationship woes, Bale has much success as an actor, garnering his second Academy Award nomination for his work in the American Hustle back in 2013. His work in the film also got him his first nomination for an Oscar in the Best Actor category and a nomination for a Golden Globe Best Actor award.
Exodus raked in $24.5 million on its opening weekend. It also stars Joel Edgerton, Ben Kingsley and Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman in the very popular Grammy-winning show Breaking Bad.
