Yael Grobglas of The CW's Jane the Virgin is reportedly set to play Trina, an enterprising businesswoman who hires Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) and the Whitefeather folks to represent her in the second season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
According to EW, the character will enter the show in the fourth season and will set Rebecca's life "on a surprising new course."
Grobglas, who plays Petra and her twin sister Anezka in satirical romantic comedy-drama telenovela inspired show Jane the Virgin, is expected to indulge in some singing too. But she might not stay in the show for long due to her commitment as one of the main cast in Jane the Virgin, where she plays the dual roles.
It was earlier reported that Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow was the latest cast addition in the show where she will be playing Anna, a hip and cool LA chick and beauty entrepreneur. She will appear in three episodes and is said to shake things up for Rebecca. She will also have her own musical number.
This means the second season will see major changes in Rebecca's life with Grobglas and Snow's characters entering her orbit. And there is more for fans. According to reports, The CW has ordered five additional scripts for the show which means that the romantic comedy series is definitely up for the long run.
Fans can catch 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' season 2 on Friday, October 21 at 9/8c.
