Jimmy Fallon just blew what most men in this world consider a near impossibility: a date with Australian beauty Nicole Kidman.
The 47-year-old actress guested on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote her movie Paddington, where she plays the villain taxidermist Millicent Clyde, and she caught the 40-year-old comedian off guard when she admitted that she had a crush on him and he only seemed unimpressed with her.
Fallon recalled the "embarrassing" time when their mutual friend Rick was in New York Cityand said that he is bringing Kidman over to his apartment. He was flustered and did not know what to do, but followed the advice of Rick to buy cheese and crackers from the deli.
He was still recounting his helplessness when Kidman interjected, "I liked you."
The usually witty Fallon was at a loss for words and only managed to say, "Wait. What? What are you talking about?"
Kidman began to narrate how she saw Fallon at that time, wearing a baseball cap and sweats. The popular game show host did not say anything much and even mumbled his words, according to Kidman.
Fallon said he was very nervous at that time, and it was probably the reason why he put on a video game and ignored Kidman for the rest of the hour and 30 minutes she was at his apartment.
"It was bad," said Kidman, and even joked about thinking whether or not Fallon was gay.
Fallon was so embarrassed at that point, got up from his desk and switched places with Kidman.
When the two were switching places again, a laughing Kidman continued their discussion. "We weren't meant to be, right?" Kidman said, to which Fallon jokingly replied, "Wow, did you make a good decision!"
