Sarah Grey has been cast as Courtney Elizabeth Whitmore aka 'Stargirl', the super-heroine in the DC Comics Universe.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed the news about the addition of Grey, who is joining a sling of new faces in the second season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. She has also landed roles in CW's iZombie and is also set to appear in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot.
It was formerly revealed that two new faces are going to join Rip Hunter and the rest of the crew as they travel through time.
The other faces in the show include Matthew MacCaull as Commander Steel, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Vixen, and Nick Zano as MacCaull's grandson Citizen Steel.
At the end of the season one, "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams, debuted as Hourman in the closing moments of the series which prompted the show to introduce the Justice Society of America for the second season.
"Even the heroes have heroes," said Phil Klemmer Executive Producer.
"For us, the JSA is like the golden age generation of superheroes. For our team, it's like a bunch of modern people meeting that greatest generation. If ours is a family, it's like getting to meet your [grandparents] and realizing they were real superheroes."
Last month's Comic Con gave information that the Legends are going to join the Justice Society of America to battle the Legion of Doom, a badass super-villain team-up group incorporating Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Damian Darhk (Neal McDonough), Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher). Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), the Legends' old pal also finds a place in the nemesis list.
DC's Legends of Tomorrow will return on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
