During the first Taken film, ex-CIA operative Bryan Mills' daughter was abducted, while he became the victim during Taken 2. This time in Taken 3, there will be no forced abductions but a frame-up for murder.
"I said the second one wouldn't happen and I said I wouldn't do a third one if someone got taken," actor Liam Neeson, who plays Mills told Radio Times. "It's insulting to an audience as well as me."
Taken 3 starts with a happy Mills family moment cut short when unknown assailants suddenly murder his former wife Lenore (Famke Janssen). Mills will be falsely accused for the murder but he will not take it sitting down.
Mills will do everything he can to seek justice and protect his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from the same people who killed his wife.
Taken 3 will be the last film for this franchise. It is written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, and will also star Forest Whitaker, Dougray Scott, Sam Spruell, Jon Gries, and Leland Orser. It is directed by Olivier Megaton.
Taken 3 will hit theatres on January 9, 2015.
