In the latest efforts to speed up the process of catching monsters in the augmented reality game Pokemon Go, a company called Game Reality has come up with the 'Pokéball' or the Official Trainer Ball that players can simply throw like a trainer in the Japanese cartoon.
According to the Kickstarter project, the ball is a connected device that will work as a controller to the augmented-reality game Pokemon Go.The ball has an accelerometer and Bluetooth 4.0 which can be connected with the smartphone and the player can throw the ball in the direction of the Pokemon monster to catch it.
There is no fear of it getting damaged as the creators claim that the "ball is durable enough for impact with the ground and made out of a soft safe rubberized foam material." The throw will also not impact internal circuits, it claimed.
If the player is not in a favorable position to throw the ball physically, then he/she can simply mimic-throw with the ball still on the grip and it will work that way too.
And yes, it is just not a ball but also doubles as a power bank. The players can charge their phone even with the absence of power outlets to play the game for a much longer time period. The backside of the prototype Pokéball showed a USB 2.0 with the makers claiming that it can power up a phone 3-4 times before draining out.
Game Reality is already in process to license the ball by Niantic Labs.
Fans can expect to get their hands on the Pokéball from February 2017 at the pocket pinch of $55 and $35 for early birds.
