Up til Easter the weather was still reasonably warm in Victoria, Australia. By Queensland standards it would have been cold. For the Easter weekend and into the next week it was cold, wet and windy. Not ideal photography weather unless you are shooting rain.
The power of photography allows you to easily envisage something even if it’s very different to what is outside your window. This sunset was shot when the weather was warmer and the birds were putting on a show trying to compete against the stunning sunset. It was one of those rare surreal moments where an empty memory card and a full battery are not enough to capture the feeling of being there.
