There's been so much going on with us having the opportunity to sit at the Lord's feet during times of distress to focus and learn from our Lord.
So during the time of spiritual refreshing a couple of years ago I was studying some scriptural content and one morning during this time I awoke with words as the Lord usually does to get my attention and the words were quite strong “focus on the Tree of Life”.
Strangely, as soon as I finished studying and shared the subject study with my brethren, the lyrics flowed out and the song came together and was finished very quickly.
I've added some scriptures below to consider the purpose and benefits of the Tree of Life opportunity we now have and that we need to learn from how Adam and Eve were originally given the opportunity to have the Tree of Life, but were deceived and cunningly influenced to go astray.
Revelation 2:7 (the Lord has provided a way back to the Tree of life - way of the spirit)
7. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’
Revelation 22:14 (way back to the Tree of life // way of the spirit// through baptism in Jesus)
14. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Revelation 22:18-19 (warning about doctrinal deception)
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if any one adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4 (guard our devotion is not lead astray)
3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
4 For if someone comes and preaches another Jesus than the one we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you submit to it readily enough.
