Grant Harris is a reformed banker who has been the Senior Pastor of Windsor Park Baptist Church in Auckland, New Zealand, for eleven years. Grant’s passionate about seeing people catch a glimpse of who they are in Christ and living out the difference that makes. He’s tried living according to the patterns of this world and found that those patterns came up short. He’s still a work-in-progress and always will be. • Communicate Like Jesus

A legacy I’ve inherited from my father is a strong interest in current events; I’m fascinated by what happens in the world, but more specifically I’m an observer of how people respond to what happens in the world.

  • Let’s Measure Success

We live in a world where our personal performance is measured from the cradle to the grave. Think about this … as soon as we were born measurements were taken of our length and our weight; our parents were then measured on their ability to help both of these things grow.

  • The Good Old Days Are Today

A lot of people have the tendency to look back at the good old days with great affection; the weather seemed better in the good old days, life seemed simpler in the good old days, we sung better songs in the church in the good old days, whatever it was, the greater the distance between today and yesterday the better those days seemed to be.

  • By The Rivers of Babylon

I don’t really remember much about 1978. I was eight years old and I’m sure life was a lot simpler back then. We didn’t have a colour TV and mobile phones were what happened when you accidently pulled a cable out of the wall and you had to get a technician in to fix it.

  • The Soapbox and a Good Story

More than just a box that contains soap, the source of all knowledge(!), Wikipedia, describes a soapbox as a raised platform on which one stands to make an impromptu speech.

  • Lost and Found

Previously called Missing Pieces, Lost and Found is a New Zealand documentary series currently in its fourth season. Hosted by David Lomas, the series not only helps people find missing relatives but uncovers cultural identities and discovers lost family heritage.

  • Can I be bothered?

When I was younger I can remember reading the book in the Bible known as James and thinking, ‘I’m going to try and ignore James for as long as possible.’ I’ve lived that thought. Well I’ve tried really hard to live that thought, but sometimes the things you try and ignore just keep getting in your way. James is often in my way.

  • I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want

Since music was created (a long long time ago) composers have dealt with the subjects of love and relationships; these themes comprise the most prominent genre of music.

  • It Never Ends

I’ve recently returned from leading an Exposure Trip to Los Angeles with a group of senior high school students from our youth group.

  • I Want It All, and I Want It Now

Many people would say that music is a window into our soul; so many messages are communicated through the gift music it’s no wonder the lyrics of songs linger in the minds and hearts of our communities for many years after it has been released.
