  • Dear Child of God

As I sat down to write a letter to my 10-month-old daughter, thoughts on Freedom were bubbling away in my heart. I knew she wouldn’t be able to read it for quite some time or fully grasp the content for many years to come.

  • Tear Down the Walls, Peel Back the Layers

My husband and I bought a ‘project house’ close to two years ago and we are slowly seeing it take shape. It has required the tearing down of some walls and the peeling back of many layers as we (mainly hubby!) re-build and restore our house.

  • What good is a jet plane if it doesn’t move!?

I recently took a trip inter-state to visit my sister. We had a wonderful time and my baby daughter was able to go on her first plane ride. We were told upon check-in that our departing flight would be delayed by a mere 15 minutes. We went through security with plenty of time to spare. We were then able to board the aeroplane, so we took our seats, buckled up and waited for the plane to take off.

  • Slow-cooked kids

  • Let go and let God!

I never realised I was such a control freak until I had my kids. I had always viewed myself as a ‘go with the flow’, easy going type of person.

  • Failing doesn’t equal failure!

When a child learns to walk, they will fall many times.

  • Resting in God’s grace

God - “My gracious favour is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.”

  • Reflecting the Son

You know that Earth would be a dismal place without its bright, shining neighbour-the sun.

  • This too shall pass

As I sit here on my comfortable bed inside my cosy home, Cyclone Debbie has caused massive destruction to Far North Queensland.

  • Let it go!

Anyone who has a small child or knows a small child or indeed anyone who has turned on the radio this year has probably heard of this song from Disney's animated movie, Frozen.
